Review of Grizzly Rage (2007) by Maryann C — 01 Jul 2008
The thing about low-budget or B horror's is that you go into it expecting that it's not going to have amazing special effects, or scenes, or that the acting might not be award-winning. You accept that, and enjoy the movie more because of it...
... but THIS is absolutely pathetic.
The only reason it got a star was because it made me laugh - laugh at the terrible, terrible dialogue. At the ultra-low budget effects (maybe if we flash a spotlight on and off real fast it will look like lightning! lol). At the continuity problems (Wow - clothing that actually repairs itself!). At the fact that they could never actually show the bear and the actor in the same shot - not even at a distance from each other! AND - and this is the best of all - at the idea of showing someone being killed by showing an image of a growling bear, and spattering the screen with computer generated blood! I mean, come on! Even I did better than that in high school!
This is one of those films that's so bad it will probably generate a cult following - that doesn't mean you should ever actually watch it.
