Review of Grizzly Man (2005) by Andrea B — 03 Dec 2008
Highly disturbing but fantastically well made doco charting the life of a man who took it upon himself to "protect" alaskan grizzly bears and ended up dying at the paws of one of them. the part I found really interesting was how treadwell seemed to use the bears as a way of fulfilling his empty life and satisfying his own needs, instead of thinking of the bears needs.
i'm sure his heart was in the right place but u cannot use a wild animal as a form of therapy.
