Not since GREY GARDENS has the subjects of a documentary so well-suited a filmmaker. The story of Timothy Treadwell could never be told better by any other director. As a documentarian, Werner Herzog, fails to remove himself from the story -- but that is the film's greatest strength.
Fascinating, sad and tragic. Unforgettable and brilliant.
