Review of Grizzly Man (2005) by Tony M — 14 Apr 2013
The incredible bizarre, fascinating Documentary of a Man who believed his was in fact a bear & would go off for months at a time & become one with them.
Timothy Treadwell (self proclaimed Grizzly Man) at first comes across as a lunatic but I feel more accurately a damaged man that was just simply not at all in any way like the rest of us so called normal.
Filled with incredible footage & numerous bizarre interviews with people similar to him very exotic & strange. I found it quite humorous in parts his strange interaction with animals never harmful just really unorthodox.
This is ultimately a tragedy but a compelling film to watch, Werner Herzog cleverly directed & narrated this film without humiliating Timothy but occasionally challenging him....
