Review of Grizzly Man (2005) by Tony L — 07 Aug 2009
Former drug and alcohol addict fails to get to grips with the root cause of his addiction and transfers his obsessive behaviour to 'helping' bears. Its not clear in the movie how his presence in any way helps anything but it makes him feel better to view these very wild animals through some anthropomorphous fantasy.
Eventually he gets himself and his unwitting girlfriend killed. Twit. It does however show us that Herzog's forte is documentary making.
