If Little Edie and Big Edie were alive today, they'd probably be starring in their own hit reality show on Bravo or something. Seriously. Could this film be a sorta, kinda ancestor to reality shows? Well, of course, this film does not come off as cheap and exploitive like most of them.
I've seen the "extra footage" sequel so this is more or less the same thing. Sometimes sad, sometimes funny, always fascinating, those Beales.
