(1976) Grey Gardens.
DOCUMENTARY.
A fascinating account of two eccentrics of Edith Bouvier Beale and her daughter Edith 'Little Edie' Bouvier Beale who have unknowingly made famous because of their connection to the Kennedy family, to be précised they're the aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. As viewers can see from the poster, they appear to live similar to how a hermit would live for it's somewhere in the Hamptons, for they don't abide by society's rules and customs. They are quite harmless, living 'frugal' and rarely coming in contact with anyone else other than the gardener outside of their property in which the interviewer Norman Vincent Peale does an exceptional job in asking them questions we would all like to know and would have ask ourselves had we been there too.
As a result of this documentary's success inspired another 'Grey Gardens' documentary called "The Beales Of Grey Gardens" released in 2006 and then the 2009 HBO movie version also called "Grey Gardens" starring Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange.
3 out of 4 stars.
