Review of Gremlins (1984) by Chris R — 27 Jan 2016
THIS has to be the most god awful movie in terms of acting. I really have never seen such bad acting in any movie (except maybe bladerunner or 2001 a space oddessy) and I wanted to kill myself on a number of occassions because the acting was just so cheesy, rediculous, and .
.. just plain horrible. There are a number of plot holes just not explained and *SPOILER ALERT* there is one gremlin that gets away but is never seen again or remembered in the entire movie. HE GOT AWAY! Isnt that something they would have remembered???? uggghhhh.
.. Also again I don't remember if I said this but the acting is scary bad. Man. Ok enough bad stuff. The movie overall for me gets like a C+ or B- cause while the story is ok, and the effects are kinda cheesy for nowadays, the overally movie is good and has some warm moments as well as violent.
I can see what they were trying to go for here and it KIND OF worked. Not all the way. They could have done a better job overall and this is definately not a movie that is in my Speilberg top 10. Anyways it's a good movie to rent but not own.
OH and by the way .. the best scene is *SPOILER ALERT* when the nastiest character in the movie is blasted out of her moving chair through her window and it is just hysterical beyond all belief. That made the entire movie.
Anyways.. it's just average. Just. Average.
