Review of Greenfingers (2014) by Jesse B — 19 Jan 2009
It's funny how the first thing that pops into mind about this film is "Don't take it seriously; it's all just good fun," but it was actually based on a true story, and that's really interesting and bizarre when taking into account this film's unusual premise.
However, it's a light, uplifting film that, when all is said and done, is modest in its sincerity. There are a couple of great lines, there's some pretty good acting (Where can you go wrong with Helen Mirren?) and there are some beautiful shots of gardens and greenery.
It's the kind of movie you see when you're feeling down and then walk away with a smile on your face.
