Review of Greenfingers (2014) by James H — 01 Aug 2009
Cute movie, based on the improbable (but true) story of a bunch of English prisoners that take a shine to gardening and eventually make it to the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. Clive Owen is excellent as usual as Colin Briggs, an inmate at this experimental "open prison".
This movie gets points off for the needless and tacked-on love affair between Owen and Primrose Woodhouse (Natasha Little), the daughter of the horticulturalist Georgina Woodhouse who comes to teach the prisoners about gardening.
Good date movie!
