It's great to see Ben Stiller explore his abilities outside of comedy. he does a good in the role of Roger. the movie really revolves only around Roger and at no time does it become intollerable for the viewer.
its funny however because its a compliment to a theme in the movie, which in the case of the plot it has become intollerable. you really need to look deep for substance in Greenberg, but it's very well put together and rewarding when it hits.
