Review of Greenberg (2010) by Mark C — 03 Jan 2011
This is by the far the most complex role I have seen Ben Stiller in. And he should by all means try the serious roles more often because he hits a home run with this one!
I found all the characters in Noah Baumbach's latest film far more easier to relate to than his The Squid and The Whale. Stiller's character is by all means a douchebag, but I still wanted him to find contentment and I still wanted it to work out between his character (Roger Greenberg) and Greta Gerwig's character (Florence).
At times it can be extremely funny and two seconds later extremely uncomfortable. But the the entire time, it manages to be extremely intriguing and entertaining.
