Review of Green Zone (2010) by Paul P — 17 Dec 2011

Greengrass dials down the paint shaker camera work and what do ya know, it works. Damon doesn't use any gimmicks or B.S. and just speaks the truth line after line and it works perfectly for the character he plays.

Greg Kinnear is given nothing in the screenplay but he once again uses that All-American charm as a front for someone who is morally empty and it works beautifully. Dealing with the current war in a very real and honest way while pairing it with a thriller that is a work of fiction won't sit well for everyone.

But 'Green Zone' is a very solid political action thriller that stays on planet earth most of the time and usually that's enough for me.
