Damon wears his liberal FAG credentials on his sleeve in this movie about (yawn) U.S. forging intelligence about (yawn) Iraqi MWDs. He plays a principled soldier (yawn) trying to cut through government conspiracies (yawn) with the aid of a CIA agent and a reporter (yawn).

In spite of it's attempts to be a taut thriller, the film's self-righteousness prevents it from satisfying or being particularly entertaining. One big problem is that it trys absolutely nothing new and mirrors movies too numerous to list.

Annoyingly it leaves viewers with the impression that Iraq is still a violent mess where attempts at building a government are failing. When in fact conflict there is steadily falling and recent elections had a massive turn out.
