Review of Green Zone (2010) by Peter P — 01 Oct 2012
If you tell me you have an action movie to watch I will probably be down for it, but then added the name Matt Damon to it, and I am will be there with bells on, well, to be truthful, I won't have bells on, but I will at least have shorts on, and a shirt, yeah, definitely a shirt, so, saying that, Green Zone fits that mold, so I saw it.
Green Zone is a semi-war / conspiracy / mystery / political movie that has a good plot that throws some historical theory in there for good measure and basically works well within all of it. The action is good although sporadic, Matt Damon is great as the solider that just wants the truth and believes that the men who are under him should not die for a political agenda that is false.
My only real complaint with the movie is some of the characters seem a little underdeveloped and the pace is too slow in a few places. Other then that, Green Zone is a really good movie that action and Matt Damon fans should like equally.
