Green Zone is a movie I think I would've liked much better if I hadn't seen the trailer for it. When watching the trailer I got really excited as I thought it looked like a fast paced Bourne vs the army action packed movie.

Instead Green Zone is a slow paced political army thriller which has lots of social commentary about the Iraq war which honestly feels like it came out to late. Matt Damon was very good as usual as was Jason Isaacs.

The action that was in the film (which was very rare) was good with a great opening scene involving a sniper. However the problem with Green Zone is its boring. I know this film will appeal to certain people and I did like it but I would've preferred the movie I was promised rather than the one I got.

Which is a big shame as Paul Greengrass is a great director, infact the Bourne Ultimatum is one of my absolute favourite movies and Captain Phillips was also great. Also I really want to watch United 93.

Overall if it wasn't for Matt Damon and The rare action scenes I would've rated this much lower. C+.
