Review of Green Street Hooligans (2005) by Adnan A — 26 Aug 2011
This was a rather frustrating movie for me. It's not about football or even the love for it. In fact it's about people who 'think' they are fans, but in fact they are morons who are just looking for violence. It was an insightful look at these so called "FIRMS" , though I am not sure how accurately it represents them.
In terms of narrative and overall direction, the movie does fall short. It feels far too simplistic at times, especially the rather weak ending.
Overall, Green Street Hooligans was interesting for the most part, despite being a movie about idiots whose motivations for their actions were non-existent. One time watch.
