Review of Green Street Hooligans (2005) by Zubair A — 09 Jan 2012
Eye-opening glimpse into the underground subculture of British soccer clubs but lacks depth and plays into a ton of cliches. Terrible casting of Elijah Wood as timid, searching for a father figure Matt Buckner who is hardly believable when he becomes tough guy after running with the "Green Street Elite".
Charlie Hunnam holds up his own as Pete Dunham but a weak third act, two-dimensional characters and soap opera like drama really hurt this film.
