Review of Green Room (2016) by James C — 01 Jul 2016

The movie centers around a group of punk rockers who end up doing a gig on the fly to try and make some quick cash while they tour. However, following their set that evening one of the band members (Anton Yelchin (RIP)) witnesses the aftermath of someone being murdered. Soon the band is kept there in the green room being held against their will not knowing that they have stumbled upon a group of white supremacists lead by Darcy (Patrick Stewart) who have no plans to let them leave. As the evening unfolds we learn more about why the initial victim was killed and why the group does not want the band to leave beyond that. Solid acting, some surprisingly good amount of gore which I did not expect. The ending was a bit abrupt but left me chuckling. Decent view.
