Green Room is directed and written by Jeremy Saulnier, and it stars Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, Alia Shawkat, and Patrick Stewart in a horror thriller about a punk rock band who accidentally witnessed a murder, and the people who murder a person, got the punk rock band trapped in the green room, and they have to stay or they'll get killed also.

So knowing that they'll kill them anyway as the group of murderers are getting themselves grouped up, the band and Amber (Imogen Poots) have to be prepared for a fight with barely any weapons. It's really interesting to see that Jeremy Saulnier has come from a very low budget film, to a successful Kickstarter film, and now to a film by an indie company.

I was hyped to see it, and was waiting a bit impatiently for it to be out on DVD. So when I got to see it, it really lived up to my expectations. The acting is great, Anton Yelchin is a terrific lead with well acted supporting actors like Imogen Poots and Alia Shawkat, and Patrick Stewart is a very intimidating villain in this.

In the beginning, there are some funny moments that was probably more or less getting me prepared for the horrors that'll come to the characters when the plot starts. It does show what the characters are like, and it's enough for me to care about them enough for them to survive.

The action scenes are really realistic as I believe that would happen when a bunch of people who know nothing of defense try to get themselves out of a dire situation. The writing is great, and the direction is tight.

The suspense is so good that I really had no idea of whether they would even survive at all, knowing that they are outnumbered. The gore effects looks fantastic that it really felt unnerving to me. Green Room is a thrilling film that I'm glad I got to see it, and I'm looking forward to see what Jeremy Saulnier has got in mind for his future films.
