Review of Green Room (2016) by Aïko G — 23 Jul 2016
Green Room is a fantastic thriller, packed full with tension high, sickening brutal and very inventive scenes. We follow a young punk band who are touring around America. The movie begins with them ready to give up their failed tour and head back home when they get a chance to one last gig for a crowd of skinheads.
At this gig they witness a murder that they shouldn't have seen. From there the movie spirals from nail biting negotiations to extremely brutal fights. The ending is very fulfilling but to be honest a little unlikely.
The cat and mouse game between the skinheads and the band members is carefully paced and you'll never see unrealistic, run-and-gun type of combat. Very honest, but be warned at some points very graphic.
