Review of Green Room (2016) by Mark W — 23 Aug 2016
Green Room wasn't as out and out scary as I expected it to be, but it is still a really tense and enjoyable film. It's very gory and violent, so if you're not into that kind of thing, then it's probably worth giving this film a miss.
Whoever was in charge of casting absolutely nailed it; Patrick Stewart is a perfect level of intense as the neo-Nazi club owner, and Imogen Poots is a real standout as one of the unlucky people stuck in the room.
I know it's the obvious thing to say, but it's also quite sad that this will be the last time we get to see Anton Yelchin in a lead role, as he does a really good job in this.
