Review of Green Room (2016) by Gregory S — 19 May 2017
After all the positive reviews and hype over Green Room, I expected the film to be better. The story is unremarkable and even though the acting was great and every minute was intense, there was a lack of excitement.
The characters don't behave like they're in grave danger and are calmer than usual during most of their ordeal even as their friends die. There's also a constant need for explanation as it's unclear why Darcy chooses to handle the situation as he did by killing them all when he literally could've frightened them into not speaking.
At least the gore was enjoyable and the ending satisfying.
