Review of Green Room (2016) by Poonishar — 23 Sep 2016
A brutal thriller with all the right ingredients. The slightly abstract and very tight direction of this movie keeps you glued from start to finish, from what begins as a nerdgasm of hard rock descends into a very taut thriller.
Patrick Stewart is on top form in an unusual and very welcome bad guy role as a neo nazi tyrant, who's character is very thought provoking. The script is good, the acting is pretty good, but the direction and editing I take my hat off, it's first class.
To summarise It delivers a hard punch and shocks at irregular intervals which keeps the tension gripping you like a serpent throughout the film, but amidst the nightmare is a very beautifully shot and directed movie.
Recommended.
