Review of Green Room (2016) by Joellemm — 28 Jul 2016
Interesting characters, in a unique setting, are forced to navigate a gruesome, tense, and unpredictable series of events, which remains thrilling throughout. I think the unpredictability is key to what makes the film so entertaining. However, completely irrational decisions by characters, and the distractingly bizarre inclusion of Patrick Stewart, do slightly ruin what could of been a great film.
Is what it wants to be.
Lastly, how much it ruined my experience of the film, I do not know, but I was baffled by every conversation the baddies had. Their conversations seemed to have no context; maybe it was filler. Either way, it sort of diminished their threatening appearance.
