There is only one word that can describe this movie. That word is "real." Green Room was absolutely a very realistic thriller that captivates you from beginning to end. I remember seeing this movie at AMC and it was the only movie in 2016 that grabbed me at the edge of my seat.

The story was spectacularly disturbing enough to keep Patrick Stewart monitoring his mansion in case skinheads ty to break in. Jeremy Saulnier's directing was as well-written as Blue Ruin. The gore was very realistic.

I used to think gore was pathetic until this movie came out. For example, Pat (played by Anton Yelchin) attempts to give Darcy (played by Patrick Stewart) an unloaded gun behind the door that was less opened; Amber (played by Imogen Poots) noticed through the vent on the door that Darcy wasn't alone, so.

Pat struggles to keep the gun from the henchman causing Tiger to use a saber to cut the henchman away from the door. But due to the door being nearly closed without a clear sight, Pat gets his arm nearly sliced off by the saber.

I gets scarier when we actually see Pat's open wound so grisly that his hand is nearly falling off with him screaming in severe pain. That was the BEST piece of gore that has ever been put on film because it literally looked like Yelchin really did get his hand sliced open.

The authenticity of the gore was really well done. Throughout the movie, I praised Anton Yelchin's performance. He was a very genuine actor to see on the big screen. To his credit, his performance really made the "hand-sliced" scene look realistic.

I praised Patrick Stewart's sinister performance and Imogen Poots's performance, but Anton Yelchin is the best actor of the movie because he kept his performance real and captivating. Green Room was awesome that it reunited Yelchin and Poots (the couple from the remake of Fright Night).

The saddest scene in the movie was when Yelchin says "I can't die there with you" and Poots replices "so don't." It's said because Yelchin died recently. I saw this movie before he died and I bought this movie on DVD that same day it was released instead of waiting til Black Friday.

I wanted it early because I was really heartbroken when I heard about the tragedy. I miss Anton and I will remember by watching Green Room, Star Trek, Fright Night and all the movies he'd been in throughout his career.

Green Room was the best movie of 2016 and Anton is the best actor in memory. RIP Anton Yelchin (1989-2016).
