These straight-to-DVD movies tend to be better than the ones shown in theater. It's like folks making Hollywood movies want to do good but the studio executives/producers say,.
"it must adhere to a Hollywood formula of shitty movie making".
Then these movies have such untrumpeted releases the higher ups don't even pay attention. Guys making the movie then have free rein to make something good.
