Review of Green Lantern: First Flight (2009) by Steve W — 26 Feb 2011
The first animated film for Green Lantern, and it is a terrific movie. It takes places mostly in intergalactic territory, full of wonder and space.
The voice acting is pretty rounded, except for Kurtwood Smith. He was pretty noticeable, but everyone else played well with their characters.
The plot was basically a cop drama, but in space. There is lots of similarities to the rookie joining the force, because that is what the Green Lantern Corps is.
With lots of action, alien blood (for a PG-13 movie), and a good story, Green Lantern: First Flight ranks among the better DC animated films.
