Review of Green Lantern (2011) by Tvjerry — 21 Jun 2011
Ryan Reynolds brings his deadpan comic charms to the superhero genre. He's given super powers to create cartoon weapons from his imagination. He's also plagued by self-doubt and a dead father. If it sounds like standard stuff for a superhero, you're right.
The effects are convincing and it moves along well, but nothing about the film is particularly original or exciting. NOTE: Stay thru the first round of credits for another predictable postscript.
