Review of Green Book (2018) by Straciatellas — 13 Feb 2019
Amazing movie with two amazing lead actors. Perfect balance between drama and comedy. This movie is not JUST about racism (even though a lot of scenes would suggest otherwise), it's also about the importance of fitting in and feeling accepted, about finding your joy in life and about unexpected friendship.
In my humble opinion, this movie depicts this to perfection, whilst making you smile more often than not. The story is well crafted, not every Acadamy Award worthy movie needs a sad ending. No, not every story in life has a happy ending, but some do, and it's important to remember this.
Shout out to Viggo Mortensen, still one of the underrated gems in Hollywood.
