Review of Greedy (1994) by Chosen 7 — 16 May 2009
I didn't see anything with Michael J.Fox for a long time until I saw this one, I thought this would be another flop like some of his other films like Doc Hollywood or that other one where he was a casting man for commercials.
The story with this one is there is a big big fmaily who have a very rich uncle called uncle Joe, who is completley self obssessed and unlike the entire family is not greedy. The whole family is out to get Uncle Joes money evne if it means killing him in his sleep, but they can't succeed not when Joe brings in a new british chich with whom he intends to give the money to.
Looking for some help the family call upon a long lost relative Daniel McTeague played by J.Fox who's a bowler who hasn't had much luck until he gets the call and takes it after hearing how rich uncle Joe is.
But as Uncle Joe spends time wth Daniel they become attached and Joe changes his will so Daniel can have the inheritance. Which makes the whole family turn against him now, even the british chic. It's Greedy, it's outrageous at some points, you can't help but cheer as you see Phil Hartman get his butt kicked in this film, and Kirk Douglas as Uncle Joe is a ball to watch he is so annoying and it's no wonder the whole family despise him secretley.
It's funny and not a Michael J.Fox flop after all.
