Review of Grease (1978) by Adam F — 29 Aug 2012
"Grease" starts off strong with a great memorable song and ends with another. In the middle it has a lot of energy and while it doesn't always shine, it's very memorable and you're sure to have a good time with it.
It's smart about its portrayal of young adults and rebellion and doesn't seem dated at all, despite being released in 1978. If you're not a fan of musicals, this one is pretty cheesy, but if you already like the genre, it's a must.
The best way to enjoy it is with a whole bunch of friends that have seen it countless times so you can all sing along to it. (Dvd, August 28, 2012).
