Though the songs are very catchy and help create an energetic atmosphere, it doesn't matter if the movie sucks. Uninteresting characters, an over abundant plot, much sexual innuendo, and just a bizarre pacing make Grease a dumbed-down version of High School Musical.
(Because at least HSM had a straight plot.).
