Bullock is particularly solid. Because of her 'gal next door' likability, which we already know from most of her movies of days gone by, we're rooting for her on her nightmarish space journey here.
A journey which, similar to Robert Redford's All Is Lost which was released the same year, stretches believability to the limit.
