Review of Gravity (2013) by Shane D — 12 Jan 2015
Space beats all else. Films are also pretty bloody good. Space films are obviously, infinitely better. You can't find a more breathtaking space-thriller (not featuring aliens of some kind) than this.
It's claustrophobic yet whatever the opposite is at the same time. It's tense, action packed and epic. Bullock channels Ellen Ripley and does amazingly. It's just a solid (if implausible) piece of cinema.
Outstanding, especially in IMAX.
