Review of Gravity (2013) by Donald Z — 26 Mar 2015
Cuaron has made two of the best films within this millennium. This is one of them. It definitely does not disappoint. And of course, Children of Men was the other one. That too does not disappoint. Not me, at least.
Both were muy, muy, good. Mentioning Cuaron in the same sentence as del Toro and Inarritu as 'three amigos of Mexican directors' seems ridiculous, though, because del Toro at least, and I'm assuming Inarritu, too, does not come even close in his films.
Alfonso's in a whole 'nother league. Blah blah blah, it's an amazing movie, basically. Best picture of 2013, more than likely, and that's not just hype speaking. On its own merits, this picture is A+ stuff.
