TL:DR.

Some stunning special effects doesn't hide Sandra Bullock being annoying and the director's pretentious bs.

This one scene sums everything I hate about these type of films. The scene where Sandra Bullock is floating in space into the shape of what I believe is to represent a baby in the womb literally the epitome of everything I hate about pretentious films directed by self important assholes who think making everything metaphorical is "meaningful man". Hey! Asshole! Making everything metaphorical for the sake of it literally does nothing and only works if you have some meaning behind it otherwise it just looks fucking stupid and pointless. It's the type of shit you get oscars for even though a tard like me could have directed it. And don't think I'm one of those people who doesn't like art or doesn't "understand deep meanings man" because I fucking love films like 2001: A Space Odyssey and Clockwork Orange because they were actually interesting and thought provoking that made me think and go "oh wait, that's fucked up" where as with this, didn't make think of anything apart from "well, what the fuck was the point of that" and really was just boring. On the plus side, I'm only giving a 1 Star because I can appreciate some of the production (CGI, sound etc) or at least the making of it even though Sandra Bullock looked and sounded like a cartoon flying through space.
