Review of Gravity (2013) by Danny O — 20 Mar 2015
Gravity is an example of very thrilling film making. First off, the visuals are phenomenal, some of the best I've ever seen. Cuaron does a great job at making the audience feel like they are in space.
The acting is spot on and the soundtrack perfectly suits the film. The movie is also very well paced, clocking in at a short 91 minutes, in a time when all movies have to exceed 2.5 hours. This movie is an extremely intense, unforgettable roller coaster ride.
The cinematography, sound editing, and every technical aspect of this film is brilliant. This is a true cinematic experience that is very visually stunning. However, script definitely could have been better though, as the writing is occasionally cheesy and the character development is really lacking.
Gravity gets 4/5 stars (B+).
