Grave encounters is a relatively new horror movie, by "The Vicious Brothers". It is impressive in the way that it is their first major project and it was quite a success. Why should you watch this movie? Do not watch this if you are looking for a horror movie that stands out of the horror movies you are used to.
This movie is not imaginative nor is it an original. But if you are looking for a movie that will scare your girlfriend or just regular friends for a bit of mindless fun and adrenaline, this is the movie to go to.
This movie will jump at you when you don't expect it, but unfortunately it will also try to jump at you a hundred times when it is pretty obvious. So if you are looking for some cheap scares, you should definitely watch Grave Encounters, but if you are looking for a movie to add to your top 10 favorites, you should not waste time on this.
