There is more than meets the eye with "Grave Encounters", I couldn't help but thoroughly enjoy it. It was easily one of the best Blair Witch style movies that have come out. There wasn't anything that hasn't been done before, however once you get over the fact that it has been done before, it's an average film.
"Found-footage" films are a genre that always promises something new, and although this particular film didn't, nothing stopped me from enjoying. I also loved the blatant parody of that awful show "Ghost Adventures".
If you like Paranormal Activity style movies, there is no reason why you shouldn't like this one.
