I found Grave Encounters annoying for the first hour, it was so slow, and I don't mind a slow burner, but they're needs to be something of interest happening to keep me interested, and that there wasn't. I will say that there were some ideas in the hour that are implemented in the great final half hour. The film takes it sweet time to get scary too, and falls back on found footage and paranormal cliches. However, there is a fantastic final act here that's pretty damn scary, and it almost saves the silly first hour.
