Review of Grave Encounters (2011) by F B — 05 Jul 2012
A great scary movie. I've seen Em all and I was pleasantly surprised how good it was on a low budget. I've watched it dozens of times now. Genuinely scary situation. Nothing like Blair witch. Agreed the found footage style is used but it is cleverly presented and you'll be definately duressed thinking of how would you react. The element of timelessness was awesome. The exits to nowhere are genius. The only thing I would have made better would be the final scene. Id loved to seen a but more "punch".
Some moron reviewed it got repetitive, well stupid, it's painting a picture of them lost in time in a derilict building for 70+ hours. It gives impact on the desperation of the situation. All I can say is maybe the movie you made is better.
A refreshing break from those predictable teen screams and pointless slashers out there. Two thumbs up!!!
Haters gonna hate. It is not the Blair witch. Only that it is footage. But it is very cleverly done. It is original and you know it all armchair critics are doooshes. If it ain't a billion dollar budget, mainstream actors and 80% CGI it's not good. Whatever.
That is all.
