I saw the movie through. Honestly, the grandmother grew on me as a character. More could have been done with this family other than pander to the worn and tattered stereotypes that 2nd wave feminism needs to justify it's existence.
The impression of the movie to me is this: What brought this family together was an abortion. ð~'.
