Review of Grand Canyon (1991) by Elliot L — 10 Jul 2007
It's basically a toned-down version of 'Crash' (except it proceeds it by quite some time) -- it was interesting, but poorly wrapped up. The secretary was damn annoying and I kept hoping she would stop showing up.
She is pointless and the most frustratingly stupid and dull character. It all ends a bit too happily, considering the story ... and has fewer - in fact, less complicated story connections than the beautiful writing in 'Love Actually' and 'Crash'.
The whole theme of the Grand Canyon was inspired, but sort of felt forced - like they wanted to make it all relate to that, but in the end it feels a bit pointless.
