Review of Grand Canyon (1991) by Madeline S — 19 Nov 2006
The mother of a teen-age boy keeps charts of all her activities. She doesn't work outside the home, and her son is working as a camp counselor, so why does she have to chart so much? Later she finds an abandoned baby, and having all her son's old stuff labeled comes in handy.
Also, her son talks filthy to the little kids in his charge. Basically, this was a great movie, but these little details bugged me. Steve Martin was particularly good. Another thing that bugged me -- Danny Glover was set up with what was apparently the only African American single woman in Los Angeles.
