Review of Gran Torino (2008) by Douglas L — 06 Aug 2012
I know people went ape sh*t for this movie ... and it wasn't bad, honestly ... but it just wasn't as socially relevant as everyone wanted it to be. One of my main gripes is probably sub-par acting across the board.
For a low-key flick like this that is supposed to have an emotional impact they should have gone for a more emotionally believable cast to carry its message (think American History X).
