Review of Gran Torino (2008) by Glomman — 15 Dec 2020
It's a while back since I saw this movie, but I know I loved it!
The old grumpy grandpa (Clint Eastwood btw) who hates his greedy family and just wants to live out the rest of his days in his neighbourhood is part of a heartwarming and heartwrenching story, which ultimately rewards merit and diligence and leads to a happy end (sort of). Sure, it's cheap in its narrative ways sometimes, but I can neglect that, for the story itself is actually pretty good.
