Review of Gran Torino (2008) by Bobby W — 24 Jan 2015
To hell with American Sniper, THIS is Clint Eastwood's introspective war film. One that is deserving of all the accolades that come with it, and a very clear depiction of the wonderful man Clint really is.
Not only is he unafraid to play an extremely flawed character on screen, he's brave enough to point out the very despicable nature of the American people. Let's face it, every single one of us either laughed at, or understood the racial slurs/jokes in this film.
And that's a damn shame.
