The story of a man from another time period slowly breaking down his walls in order to understand his neighborhoods changing culture is pretty interesting. It has its awkward moments and Eastwood's endless "those damn kids" rag gets a little repetitive but ultimately, Gran Torino is a pretty heartwarming tale of unlikely connection in the urban landscape.
