Review of Grace Is Gone (2007) by Olivia T — 20 Jul 2008
I actually rented this and was a little confused about what was going on with the father. John Cusack is a wonderful actor but. . .anyway. If you look at this as being a grieving process and become all psychological then, well that's a whole other story.
It was difficult to determine where they were trying to go with this movie so I won't say that they failed but, that was not the way to let your children know that they lost their mother. It did turn out to be a way for the father to learn how to communicate better with his children but at what cost to them emotionally and psychologically.
They could have done better. Those kids would be scarred for life.
